Wengen and Lauterbrunnen
The other train stop was in Wengen. It looks like those small cities, which seem to have come out of movie screens. With a little more than a thousand inhabitants at 1274m high, this village exceeds in charm to anywhere you turn your camera. However, the stop was brief , and I couldn’t take pictures.
Pictures of the way down to Lauterbrunnen.
Lauterbrunnen means “Huge Fountains”. It is at the base of Jungfraujoch, in an imposing mountain chain, cut by a valley with more than 70 waterfalls that spring from the mountains.
Staubbach is the main waterfall of the city with a drop of almost 300 m.
